Job description

An established and fast-growing security systems specialist is seeking an experienced Service Manager to take full ownership of its Service Department. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for service delivery, compliance, people management and performance across a multi-disciplinary security engineering function.

The role is based within modern offices with excellent staff facilities and offers genuine autonomy and influence at a senior operational level.

The Service Manager Role:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be accountable for the overall performance of the service function, ensuring exceptional delivery across CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and developing service engineers, helpdesk and service coordination teams
  • Ensuring SLA, KPI, PMV and productivity targets are consistently achieved
  • Acting as Nominated Technical Manager within an NSI-regulated environment
  • Providing senior-level technical escalation support (remote and on-site where required)
  • Driving recurring service revenue, efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Managing day-to-day people matters including holidays, sickness and attendance
  • Working alongside HR leadership on wider people and performance processes
  • Acting as the senior escalation point for key and strategic security clients
About The Successful Service Manager:

To succeed in this role, you will be a confident and commercially aware service leader with a strong technical grounding in electronic security systems.

& will ideally have:

  • Proven experience as a Service Manager / Senior Service Operations Manager
  • Technical knowledge of CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems
  • Experience working within NSI or similarly regulated security environments
  • A hands-on leadership style with excellent people management capability
  • The ability to balance operational delivery with strategic improvement
