Job summary

A leading compressed air solutions provider is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join their Norwich service department. The role involves carrying out maintenance on HPC KAESER Compressors, attending breakdowns, and supporting the established customer base. Candidates should have a strong engineering background, preferably with prior experience in the compressed air industry, and must be able to work independently. Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years practical experience working without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine planned maintenance on HPC KAESER Compressors.
  • Attend equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, identify parts, and effect repairs.
  • Service established customer base and support distributor network.
  • Undertake training on products when required, both in the UK and Germany.

Job description

Description:A position has arisen for an experienced Service Engineer to join our Norwich service department.

Service Engineers work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, and a mandatory out of hours paid callout rota, currently 1 week in every 7.A service van will be provided.

Responsibilitiesinclude:
  • Carry out routine planned maintenance on HPC KAESER Compressors and ancillary products (oil/water separators/filters/dryers),
  • Attend equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, identify parts required and effect the repair
  • Service HPC’s established customer base and support our distributor network.
  • Undertake training on products when required, both in the UK and Germany.
Key skills for this role:
  • Previous experience in the compressed air industry
  • Ability to work on own initiativeExperience in a field-based engineering role
  • Good communication skills and proven successful team working with a flexible approach to working hours.
Qualifications and experience:
  • A formal technical training by means of apprenticeship or equivalent is required together with a minimum of two years practical experience working without direct supervision.
  • A sound engineering background (electrical / mechanical), with relevant experience, demonstrating clear and effective hand skills and thinking.
  • A current driving licence is essential.
