Senior Vehicle Engineer – Camberwell

Go Ahead London is the capital’s largest bus operator, employing over 8,000 people across 17 garages in South East, South West, North East and East London. An award‑winning company with a strong industry reputation, we have opened three new garages in the last five years and operate a quarter of London’s iconic red bus network on behalf of Transport for London (TfL) using 2,450 vehicles.

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Senior Vehicle Engineer to be based at our Camberwell garage. The successful candidate will strive to provide reliable and effective maintenance, ensuring we deliver a dependable service that people can trust and help create a London where every journey is taken care of.

Responsibilities
  • Open, approachable and team‑focused; work efficiently with colleagues while being forward‑looking, flexible and adaptable to changing business demands.
Qualifications
  • City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working on HGV or PCV vehicles.
  • Must hold a PCV licence; if not, training will be provided and the successful candidate will be required to work early/late shifts 7 days a week (38 hours a week), including weekends and bank holidays as required.
