Senior Consultant – Systems Engineering

Role

Sirius Analysis is a rapidly growing consultancy firm renowned for delivering high‑quality end‑to‑end consultancy services across defence, energy and health sectors. We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Systems Engineering as we advance our next growth phase.

The Role

As a senior consultant you will utilise your expertise across the Systems Engineering lifecycle. Depending on the task you may lead a technical team on short‑term projects, providing evidence‑based analysis and recommendations, or you may work on longer‑term, large‑scale programmes within a wider service or solution team. Our clients include the UK MOD, NATO, other government agencies and the wider Defence and Non‑Defence industry.

Responsibilities
  • Support delivery of technical consulting projects.
  • Design and apply systems engineering approaches to tackle real‑world problems.
  • Develop analytical tools and techniques, including novel approaches where required.
Qualifications

Sound understanding of scientific, mathematical or capability analysis techniques and proven ability to develop technical solutions to business problems. Candidates should have expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  • Space Systems, Telecommunications & Network Systems, Military C4I Systems or Digital Engineering practices such as Modelling and Simulation or Digital Twins.
  • Systems Engineering lifecycle experience.
  • Model‑Based Systems Engineering, using digital tools and models across the engineering lifecycle.
  • Enterprise Architecture or domain‑specific architecture – use of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, NAF or equivalent.
  • Requirements Engineering and use of related tools such as IBM DOORS, Dimensions RM or equivalent.
  • Creation and management of capability and technology roadmaps.
  • Stakeholder management, including workshop facilitation.
  • Service Management practices such as ITIL or eTOM.
  • Either hold professional registration with a relevant professional organisation or willingness to work towards registration.
Other Requirements
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Willingness to undergo an internal baseline personnel security standard check prior to starting.
  • Willingness and eligibility to complete a UK Security Vetting (UKSV) security clearance application to the SC level upon starting employment (at least five years UK residency required).
