Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality surface geometry models for CFD and Wind Tunnel.
• Work closely with aerodynamicists to define new surfaces.
• Mentor junior members of the group and support methodology advancements.

Senior Surface Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality and complex surface geometry models for CFD, Wind Tunnel, and full‑size release.
• Work closely with aerodynamicists to understand the definition and scope of new surfaces, including modeling and construction approach.
• Liaise with model designers to ensure efficient implementation of aerodynamic projects.
• Support the release of aero surface geometry to the full‑size car design office.
• Liaise with full‑size car designers to create high‑quality surface geometry for full‑size release.
• Mentor junior members of the group and support the advancement of methodologies and modeling improvements.
• Support the implementation of standard design practices.

Requirements

• A degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Design, Motorsport) or equivalent.
• Extensive experience with 3D CAD software (preferably 3DEXPERIENCE/CATIA).
• Strong knowledge of surface quality, model layout and robustness, and a high level of understanding of surfacing and parametric modeling techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors.
• Ability to line‑manage / lead teams effectively.
• Clear and concise communication, verbally and written, including with key stakeholders and directors.
• Strong IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Positive contribution to an open and inclusive culture.
