Overview

Job Title: Senior Residential Care Worker

Location: Various locations across Nottinghamshire

Salary: From £36,753.60 per year (based on experience and including 8 sleep-ins per month. Additional sleep-ins paid at £62.40 per sleep)

Working Hours: Full-time, rota-based shifts

Number of Sleeps Required: 8 per month (additional available)

Pay Per Sleep: £62.40

Service: Children’s Home

Service Users: YPs with EBD, trauma, and challenging behaviours

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (or equivalent)

Experience in Years Required: Minimum 2 years in a children’s residential home

Employment Type: Permanent

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Residential Care Worker who is ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential home

  • Be confident leading and organising shifts

  • Understand how to support children and young people who have experienced trauma and display challenging behaviours

  • Demonstrate strong safeguarding knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals

  • Possess excellent communication, reporting, and recording skills

  • Be compassionate, patient, and resilient, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference

  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care

  • Be 21 years or over

Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted-registered children’s home will not be considered.
