Overview

Join to apply for the Senior R&D Technical Consultant role at K3 Capital Group.

Due to growth and expansion, this role supports expanding our Technical R&D Consulting business in the Midlands. Operating from our HQ in Derby, we are seeking experienced R&D Tax Experts who will manage the entire client journey from start to finish with the support of an in-house Technical Writing Team.

Responsibilities

• Organise in-person meetings with Clients, typically with the main decision makers (Owner, Managing Director, Financial Director, Technical/Operations Director) to discuss the R&D tax credit scheme and extract the technical information about the innovations and R&D work performed to determine eligibility for R&D Tax Credits.
• Review (and support the writing of) Technical Reports to submit to HMRC to justify the R&D tax credit claim on behalf of the Client.
• Manage the ongoing project process with the Client, liaise with the Client to help collate financial information to prepare their claim, and extract descriptions for material and sub-contractor costs.
• Work with the internal Accounts Team to prepare the information provided by the Client in order to create financial schedules.

Qualifications

• You will ideally have prior R&D Tax Credit experience and understanding of the tax claim process.
• A friendly and personable approach, good communicator, able to understand and reflect on technical information and ask probing questions.
• A degree of scientific, technical and/or engineering knowledge to perform technical elicitations.
• A full UK driving licence.
• A basic knowledge of accountancy (profit and loss accounts, balance sheets) is useful, but not essential.
