Job description
  • 26 weeks paid parental leave after one year and 36 weeks after five years continuous service, regardless of gender.

  • Base salary range: $104,243 – $115,661 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area

The Implementation Support Team, Project Office function supports the establishment and ongoing delivery of UWA India by providing coordinated, transparent, and responsive project management services across multiple workstreams. This function oversees project planning, governance, risk and issue management, reporting, and cross-team coordination to ensure all implementation activities are efficiently delivered and aligned with UWA’s strategic objectives across both Australia and India.

A particular focus is placed on delivering structured, scalable, and high‑quality project processes that support the development of UWA India’s multi‑city campus operations. The Project Office works collaboratively with faculties, professional teams, senior leaders, and external partners to implement robust project frameworks, drive continuous improvement, and enable effective, evidence‑based decision‑making throughout the establishment and activation phases of UWA India.

About the opportunity
  • Plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and overseeing implementation activities for UWA India’s multi‑city campus rollout, ensuring structured delivery, strong governance, and operational readiness across dispersed teams.
  • Leads specific workstreams, managing milestones, risks, interdependencies, and stakeholder expectations while coordinating Australia–India project interactions to support informed decision‑making and cohesive teamwork.
  • Provides tactical and operational support to the Program Director, contributing to planning, monitoring, issue resolution, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement of project systems and processes.
About you
  • A tertiary qualification in project management, business, administration, communications, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
  • Substantial experience coordinating or managing major projects or programs in a complex organisation, ideally in higher education or an international context.
  • Highly developed project management skills with experience in planning, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder coordination across multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • An understanding of global context and cross‑cultural communication and negotiation to support the delivery of initiatives.
  • Understanding of the Australian higher education environment or large‑scale implementation projects.
Note

A current National Police Clearance Certificate is required by the successful applicant.
