An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Practitioner to join the Child Protection Team in Coventry. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £33.30, with the flexibility to work part-time or full-time. As a key member of the team, you will provide advanced professional expertise, mentoring, and guidance to social workers managing complex safeguarding and child protection cases.
This position allows you to carry a reduced caseload, enabling you to focus on the most challenging cases while supporting high standards of practice and promoting excellent outcomes for children and families across the service.

Manage a complex caseload involving child protection plans, care proceedings, and Public Law Outline (PLO) cases.
Provide expert guidance, joint visits, and consultations to enhance social workers’ practice.
Model exemplary practice across assessment, planning, and intervention to ensure consistent quality.
Support the Team Manager in ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and legislation.
Undertake case audits and participate in quality assurance activities to identify and embed improvements.
Offer mentorship and supervision to less experienced practitioners, fostering professional growth.
Deliver training sessions, group supervisions, and contribute to the development of team learning.
Lead on specialist practice areas such as domestic abuse, trauma-informed practice, or contextual safeguarding.
Build and sustain effective multi-agency partnerships to promote holistic safeguarding.
Represent the team in strategy meetings, case conferences, and court hearings.
Ensure the child’s voice remains central to all planning and decision-making.
Contribute to service improvement projects, driving innovation and positive change.
Deputise for the Team Manager when required, overseeing performance and workload allocation.
