Senior Policy and Product Adviser at UK Export Finance

Location: Westminster, London (Hybrid Working)

The Policy and Product Division (PPD) ensures that UKEF has the range of financial products and effective internal policies needed to support UKEF’s wide variety of transactions, from major overseas infrastructure projects to UK multinationals and SME exporters.

The successful candidate will work across UKEF’s financial products and a wide variety of policy areas relating to international agreements, domestic legislation, emerging reputational issues and market requirements. They will become an expert point of reference on UKEF’s products and policies for internal colleagues and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policies which ensure that UKEF’s transactions, products and departmental actions are aligned with UK legislation and international agreements, manage reputational risks and support government priorities.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of products (including guarantees to banks, direct loans to major overseas projects and insurance for exporters) that meet the needs of exporters, complementing those available from the private market.
  • Define and implement policies, practices, processes and procedures relating to UKEF’s transactions that fulfil UKEF’s statutory and international regulatory requirements, as well as policies set by HMG.
  • Provide expert advice to internal colleagues, external stakeholders and other government departments on the application of UKEF’s policies and practices.
