Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Paediatric Gastroenterology.
• Gastroenterology training in recognised Paediatric GI units.
• Valid BLS training.
• Evidence of up to date training in Child Safeguarding (level 3).

Responsibilities

• Share outpatient and inpatient service with other consultants.
• Conduct ward rounds on weekends and public holidays.
• Lead a team of middle-grade doctors in inpatient care.
• Attend service-wide MDTs such as histology and radiology meetings.

Skills

Independent Upper and lower GI endoscopy skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent leadership and organisational skills

Ability to perform and report oesophageal HR manometry

Education

MBBS or Equivalent

Full GMC registration

MRCP, MRCPCH or equivalent

Higher Degree Management course, PhD, MD or equivalent
