Qualifications

• BTEC ONC/HNC in Building Services or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems in buildings.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness and ability to suggest value engineering ideas.

Responsibilities

• Visiting sites to assess and cost mechanical works.
• Preparing estimates using Excel or similar software.
• Requesting and managing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Reviewing drawings and specifications to clarify any uncertainties.
• Creating detailed cost breakdowns including materials, labour, and travel.
• Participating in internal bid reviews and client meetings.
• Writing clear and professional tender documents.
• Supporting project handovers to the delivery team.
• Tracking tender progress and following up for feedback.
