Responsibilities

• Supervising ground investigation crews (cable percussion, rotary, and window sampling)
• Conducting trial pitting and logging soil and rock to BS5930 / Eurocode 7 standards
• Groundwater and gas monitoring
• Producing Phase 1 Desk Studies
• Assisting in the preparation of Factual and Interpretive Reports
• Managing projects effectively and professionally

Qualifications and Experience

• Industry experience in engineering geology or geotechnical investigation
• Degree in geology, earth sciences, or a master’s in engineering geology/geotechnical engineering
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/work away from home
• Located within reasonable distance of Glasgow or willing to relocate
• CSCS Card, First Aid Training, and SSSTS certification

The company’s materials technology and construction engineering service operates throughout the United Kingdom, undertaking and reporting on structural and condition surveys, BREEAM assessments and asbestos surveys. The company is approved for working in confined spaces and undertaking in situ testing that includes floor load tests and strain measurements.
