We are looking to appoint a Senior Ecologist to join our team. The successful candidate can be based at any of our offices across the UK, however, being located in the Midlands would be advantageous. The ability to travel for site visits is essential.
The successful candidate will be able to independently lead on the preparation of ecological field work, data collection, analysis and interpretation to assist the delivery of project work and technical reporting.
A typical day at work would include assisting with fee proposals, completing ecological desk studies, designing and leading on field work to include preliminary ecological assessments, baseline habitat mapping, species surveys (or coordinating specialist sub-consultants), completion of Statutory Biodiversity Metric baseline calculations, collaborating with design teams to integrate ecological constraints and opportunities, design of Biodiversity Net Gain (or regional equivalent) and completion of technical reports. The role can be adapted to suit an applicants career interests and aspirations however a crucial element of the role is the willingness to complete field work and the ability to confidently and independently design and complete baseline ecological assessments as a minimum.
