A leading construction engineering firm is seeking a Principal EC&I Engineer for their operations in the UK. The role requires managing design and engineering in nuclear projects, ensuring quality and compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should have a degree in engineering, experience in the nuclear industry, and strong team leadership skills. Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a relevant technical / engineering discipline or demonstrable experience.
• Full UK driver’s licence is required.
• Must be working towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Nuclear industry is essential.
• Understanding of design requirements to support nuclear safety cases.
• Experience of managing sub-contracts.
• Knowledge of safety regulations including CDM is required.
• Experience of checking design documentation including drawings and supporting calculations.
• Experience and/or ability of leading a technical team in a project delivery environment.
• Strong organisation and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage design, specification, procurement, and all project deliverables.
• Supervise a team of up to 5 engineering staff.
• Responsible for managing project subcontracts and ensuring quality.
• Interact regularly with clients and other engineering disciplines.
• Reinforce safety culture and compliance with safety regulations.

Skills

Degree qualified in a relevant technical / engineering discipline

A full UK driver’s licence

Working towards Chartered Engineer status
