A leading independent healthcare provider in Liverpool is looking for a Senior Early Days in Custody Nurse to join the Primary Care Team at HMP Altcourse. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Early Days in Custody Nurse to join our Primary Care Team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool.
7 days a week cover including weekends – approx 1 in 3, and nights.
This position is full time; you’ll receive an annual salary up to £49,175 per annum, depending on experience.
Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
As a Senior Early Days in Custody, your responsibilities will vary. You will be part of the senior clinical leadership, lead and coordinate release and transfers, support L&D strategies, manage the assessment of health needs, planning, delivery and evaluation of care for the prison population, including clinical risk assessment, provide care and planning for adult male prisoners from the point of reception until the day of release or transfer to another establishment, work collaboratively with the patient and any other agencies to support a safe transition back into the community or other establishment, administer medication, provide planned and unplanned care and respond to emergencies.
