Job summary

A trusted company in standby power is seeking a capable Senior Service Engineer to perform fault finding and diagnosis on diesel generator sets. In this role, you will handle electrical and mechanical issues, mentor junior staff, and ensure high standards are maintained across all work. Key responsibilities include servicing generators, communicating effectively with customers, and adhering to company ISO standards. The position requires a recognized qualification and full UK driving license, along with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Served a recognized electrical or mechanical Qualification/apprenticeship.
• Capable of using appropriate tooling and diagnostic equipment.
• Must have a full UK Driving License.
• ECS/CSCS Card required.
• DBS/Disclosure Scotland Checks mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault finding and diagnosis to diesel generator sets.
• Mentor junior engineers and apprentices.
• Communicate effectively with customers and operational teams.
• Carry out planned service and maintenance work.
• Ensure compliance with company ISO standards.
