Senior Cyber Operations Manager

Permanent – £80k – £90k + very strong benefits.

Location: Hybrid – South Coast, Brighton.

Your new company

An 'arms-length' government organisation is currently looking for an experienced and talented Senior Cyber Security Operations Manager to manage the cyber operations estate across the organisation. The company offers a strong benefits package including flexible working, over 25% pension, good holiday entitlement and good progression opportunities. The role is to replace the outgoing leader, who's leaving on positive terms and with the organisation in a strong place to move forward, including a new outsourced SOC team.

Your new role

You will be supporting the Head of IT Operations across a broad variety of work, with a lot of different exposure across multiple senior stakeholders and different business areas. You will be a key member of the newly formed Cyber Security team, and you will play a big part in upcoming projects, providing experience and expertise across the whole security operations remit.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Strong, demonstr leadership experience, with the ability to still get hands on if needed.
  • Strong experience in a similar role, ideally with experience within Microsoft infrastructures.
  • Experience leading a small team.
  • Experience creating and implementing short-, medium-, and long-term roadmaps, with business processes and productivity in mind.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security principles, ideally Azure.
