Earnings: £45,272 per annum

Role: Senior Counsellor or counsellor – desirable expertise in working with children

Hours: Up to 30 hours per week,

Salary: Up to £45,272 per annum per rota (Equivalent to NHS Band 6 or 7 dependent on role)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Counsellor to join our team. Could this be you?

The role can accommodate either a counsellor or a senior counsellor specifically with children experience. However, please consider applying if you do not have counselling experience with children.

The Role

As a Senior Counsellor/Counsellor you will lead/work as a key member of the specialist team providing a high standard of counselling, including:

  • Tailored counselling approaches to meet the unique emotional and psychological needs of our clients.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and confidentiality.
  • Work as part of a team ensuring a holistic approach to patient wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual and group counselling to patients, carers, families including children.
  • Provide clinical supervision to counsellors, volunteers and trainees, ensuring the highest professional standards are maintained.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to offer holistic care.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of our psychological services, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our community.
About You

You will:

  • Be a Qualified Counsellor
  • Have an accredited membership, or working towards, of BACP, UKCP or BPS or equivalent/ RMN.
  • Be a compassionate and empathic individual with a genuine commitment to improving the quality of care of your clients.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with colleagues, patients and their loved ones.
  • Have the ability to adapt counselling techniques to suit the unique needs of each individual.
