Foreword

In today's rapidly evolving landscape, we recognise the vital role we play within the industry, and we approach our advisory services with seriousness and professionalism. We offer project, building, and sustainability consultancy from inception and feasibility through to project execution and handover. By offering end-to-end support, our clients benefit from continuity and accountability throughout the project life cycle.

We offer thorough, high quality consultancy and we endeavour to work with clients and industry professionals that share our view of the world.

About Us

As a surveying practice we offer Project Management and Quantity Surveying services, and we have in-house energy modelling capabilities. We specialise in retrofit and energy efficiency, EPC improvement advice, and Net Zero auditing (inc. Whole Life Carbon Assessment). We help clients reduce the carbon impact of buildings through expert guidance on materials, systems, and retrofit strategies.

The Role

We are seeking a capable and driven Project Manager & Employer’s Agent, ideally a chartered member of the RICS (MRICS) with a minimum of four years’ experience. The role suits a senior professional with the ability to lead projects with confidence, although we remain flexible for the right candidate with strong technical and organisational capabilities.

You will manage a range of new-build and refurbishment construction projects from early briefing through to completion, with responsibilities across design coordination, procurement, construction oversight, and contract administration. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive, collaborative approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management
    • Lead the development and delivery of project execution plans and client briefs.
    • Chair project meetings and manage communication protocols across all stakeholders.
    • Monitor the performance of the professional team and contractors, including issuing instructions on behalf of the client.
    • Coordinate project reporting on progress, cost, risk, and quality.
  • Design & Pre-Construction
    • Assist in the selection and appointment of consultants and specialists.
    • Coordinate surveys, feasibility studies and viability appraisals.
    • Advise on procurement strategy, programme, planning conditions, and enabling works.
  • Programme & Delivery Oversight
    • Prepare and maintain detailed project programmes covering design, procurement and construction stages.
    • Monitor actual versus planned progress and advise on corrective actions as needed.
    • Manage risk and change control procedures.
  • Employer’s Agent Duties
    • Act as the named Employer’s Agent under Design & Build contracts.
    • Administer contract terms including instructions, certificates, and valuations.
    • Lead value engineering exercises and advise on contractor claims (EOT, loss and expense) in collaboration with the Quantity Surveyor or client advisors.
    • Liaise with client solicitors on title matters, funding agreements, warranties and statutory consents.
    • Provide strategic advice on procurement, risk, legal obligations and cost management.
    • Support development appraisals and assess implications of programme or scope changes.
  • Construction Phase
    • Oversee site inspections and reporting during construction.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including CDM Regulations.
    • Lead snagging, handover, and defects resolution processes.
    • Assist in closing out final accounts and advising on claims, damages and client liabilities.
What We Offer
  • Opportunity to work on a varied range of feasibility and construction projects throughout the UK.
  • Diverse work-role in a start-up environment.
  • Flexible working environment and generous holiday allowances.
  • Generous discretionary bonus scheme.
  • Out of office hours working to be recovered as time-off in lieu.
  • Support for professional development and training.
  • A fun, collaborative and innovative working environment.
