Job description

SENIOR COLLABORATIONS DESIGNER - FULL TIME - WASHINGTON, TYNE & WEAR

Who We Are:

Inspired by a shared love of fashion, sneakers and the surrounding culture, END. was founded in Newcastle upon Tyne back in 2005. Our first UK store brought together a curated mix of celebrated designers and emerging brands, many of which were previously hard to find outside of London. From day one, we’ve nurtured a community of like-minded individuals united by a love for this ever-evolving culture.

Today, END. serves over 2 million customers worldwide through a seamless blend of online and physical retail. Our industry‑leading stores in Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, London, and Milan reflect our commitment to innovation, influence, and inspiration. We offer a carefully curated selection of menswear, womenswear, sneakers, homeware, and lifestyle products to a global audience.

At the heart of END. is our customer and it’s our people and culture that make the difference. With over 600 employees across our HQ, offices, and retail locations, our customer‑first mindset continues to guide everything we do.

The Role:

As the Senior Designer – Collabs & Special Projects, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, designing, and executing our most high‑profile brand collaborations and special product initiatives. You will partner with the Head of Collabs & Special Projects, the internal Design team, external creative partners, and cross‑functional stakeholders to translate collaboration concepts into distinctive, on‑brand, commercially successful product.

You will be responsible for creative development – from research and concepting to sketches, range plans, product storytelling, and design execution. You will ensure all partner‑led and special project collections embody our brand values, deliver elevated design integrity, and resonate with our customers.

This role requires someone with deep experience in fashion design (8‑10+ years), a strong cultural radar, and the ability to confidently manage both internal workflows and external creative relationships.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:
  • Concept & Design Development:
Lead the design development for all collaborations and special projects across relevant categories.
Translate strategic partnership concepts into compelling design directions, mood boards, and visual narratives.
Develop sketches, CADs, technical packs, and range architecture aligned to brand DNA and collaborator aesthetics.
Ensure product execution meets quality, sustainability, and brand standards.
Partner with fabric, trims, and development teams to source materials that elevate the collaboration story.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the Head of Collabs & Special Projects to align design intentions with partnership strategy.
Collaborate daily with Buying, Merchandising, Product Development, and Production to ensure on‑time delivery.
Support Marketing and Brand teams with product storytelling, content needs, visual assets, and campaign direction.
Provide design support for retail and experiential activations where product representation is required.
  • External Partner Management:
Engage directly with creative partners (brands, designers, artists) during the design development process.
Present design concepts, iterate based on feedback, and ensure alignment with both brand partners’ and internal expectations.
Maintain professionalism and brand representation in all partner communications.
  • Project & Process Management:
Manage multiple collaboration design projects simultaneously, balancing timelines and deliverables.
Support creation and documentation of design workflows, calendars, and processes specific to collaborations.
Help ensure all milestone materials – design boards, prototypes, photos, samples – are delivered at the right time and standard.
  • Creative & Cultural Leadership:
Continuously research emerging trends, cultural moments, and creative movements relevant to collaboration opportunities.
Contribute fresh perspectives that stretch the brand creatively while remaining commercially grounded.
Inspire junior team members and help elevate design standards across the wider Design department.
Who we’re looking for:
Required:
  • 8–10 years of fashion apparel design experience within premium, contemporary, or streetwear‑adjacent brands.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong design craft, storytelling, and elevated taste level.
  • Experience working on brand collaborations, capsule collections, or special projects (ideal but not mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of product development processes, garment construction, and materials.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, CAD drawing, and digital presentation tools.
  • Confident communication skills and experience presenting to internal leaders and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple fast‑paced design workstreams simultaneously.
Preferred:
  • Experience collaborating directly with external designers, artists, brands, or creative partners.
  • Previous work within brands that operate at the intersection of culture, fashion, and community.
  • Understanding of go‑to‑market cycles and how product design interacts with marketing and retail storytelling.
Besides a competitive salary and an engaging and inclusive work place we can offer you:
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Flexible working
  • 40 Hours per week – Monday to Friday
  • Holiday trading (Buy or sell 3 days)
  • Your birthday off
  • Access to Employee Assistance Programme
  • Healthcare Cashback Plan
  • Moments that matter gifts (Weddings and Babies)
  • A pension that both you and the company contribute to
  • Generous staff discount
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  • And so much more….

We know that great talent comes in many forms. So even if you don’t meet every single criteria, we would still love to hear from you. If you’re passionate, driven, and believe you can contribute to our future success, we encourage you to apply.
