About this role

Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineers work as part of the Tech Delivery organisation supporting the engineering and continued development of a growing AWS cloud footprint within Capital One.

What you’ll do
  • Deliver core infrastructure from code that the rest of our line of business depends on
  • Continued support, maintenance and development of our core systems, enhancing our internal customers’ journeys on their path to CI/CD
  • Enhance our AWS account design, deployment and validation mechanisms
  • Design, develop and maintain high quality Core Infrastructure services
  • Work collaboratively across teams spanning multiple time zones
What you’ll get to learn
  • Good understanding of API’s and micro‑services architecture
  • Experience of modern application development (CI/CD pipelines etc)
  • Previous experience of delivering work for multiple stakeholders
  • Hands on experience in Amazon Web Services
  • Hands on experience of Puppet as a configuration management tool
  • Hands on experience of complex Jenkins pipelines
  • Agile software development methods and working as part of an Agile Team
  • A range of DevOps tooling, such as GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins etc
  • Designing Enterprise solutions for core infrastructure
Where and how you’ll work

This is a permanent position and is based in our Nottingham office. We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working model – one that creates the opportunity to work in your own way, but also provides great spaces for in‑person collaboration.

We’re big on collaboration and connection, so you’ll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
