Job description
Senior Cleaner Keynsham Recycling Hub, Pixash Lane

Hours: 10 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 16:00-18:00

Additional: Opportunities for overtime available

Bath & North East Somerset Council is excited to announce a new opportunity for a Senior Cleaner at our state‑of‑the‑art Keynsham Recycling Hub, located at Pixash Lane. This modern facility, opened just 18 months ago, is a cornerstone of our commitment to sustainability and excellence.

About the Role

As Senior Cleaner, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site. You’ll lead a dedicated cleaning team, manage stock and supplies and handle light administrative duties. While leadership is part of the role, approximately 80% of your time will be hands‑on cleaning, working alongside your team to ensure the site remains safe, hygienic and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support the cleaning team
  • Order and manage cleaning materials
  • Maintain cleanliness across offices, kitchens, public areas, and multiple toilet facilities
  • Clean stairwells, vacuum/mop floors, and dust edges and ledges
  • Ensure a courteous and professional approach with all building users
