Your Role

As a Senior Claims Handler within Apollo’s Liability team, you will take ownership of complex and high-value claims across the US Casualty portfolio, working within defined authority levels and supporting the Liability Claims Manager. You will play a key role in claims handling, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring effective outcomes that align with Apollo’s values and conduct principles.

What you’ll do
  • Manage liability and casualty claims across Apollo’s syndicates, predominantly from the US Casualty book.
  • Handle claims efficiently within defined authority, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Provide claims insight and feedback to underwriting teams on coverage, wordings, and developing claim trends.
  • Collaborate with the Liability Claims Manager on large loss processes, reserving, and management reporting.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and reporting throughout the claims lifecycle.
  • Build trusted relationships with brokers, adjusters, and legal partners, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service delivery.
  • Support the implementation of Apollo’s conduct standards and commitment to fair customer outcomes.
What we are looking for
  • Extensive experience handling liability and casualty claims within the Lloyd’s or London Market, ideally with exposure to US General Liability.
  • Strong technical expertise and confidence in managing complex claims within a collaborative, high-performing team.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ECF and London Market claims processes.
  • Sound analytical and decision-making capability, balancing commercial awareness with regulatory expectations.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive approach to workload management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively across internal and external partners.
