Senior Category Manager

An exciting opportunity has become available for an exceptional procurement professional to join our growing Procurement Team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust on a permanent basis as a Senior Category Manager based in the vibrant university city of Lincoln.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Category and colleagues within the Procurement Team and key stakeholders within the Surgery and Medicine Care Groups.
• Seek the best commercial outcome in the procurement of goods and services.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of divisional Category Strategies and ensure procurement programmes are delivered compliantly within the bounds of EU, National and Trust regulations and policy.
• Lead and manage people to support delivery of the Clinical procurement work plan.

Qualifications

• Experienced and pro‑active procurement specialist with excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers and work at pace in a dynamic environment.
• Good computer and analytical skills to manage and process data, summarise findings and make recommendations.
• Experience in procurement programme management.
