Senior Care Assistant

£14.32 per hour plus company benefits.

Full time – 42 or 48 hours per week, day or night shifts available.

Hartwood House is a stunning 50‑bed residential and dementia care home based in Lyndhurst.

About the role

We are looking for 2 enthusiastic, passionate and reliable Senior Care Assistants to join our care team, providing care for our residential and dementia residents. Full‑time hours are available with the flexibility to cover both day and night shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Look after our residential and dementia residents, promoting choice, individuality and independence.
  • Work as part of a close‑knit team supporting each other.
  • Provide supervisory support, medication administration (with relevant qualification), and act as a supportive mentor to care assistants.
  • Maintain knowledge of care legislation including CQC Fundamental Standards.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years’ previous experience working with older people and dementia; prior experience as a Senior Care Assistant is desirable.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Medication administration experience and relevant qualification.
