Qualifications

  • Qualified and/or authorized to conduct litigation is essential.
  • Experience providing technical legal supervision to junior fee-earners is desirable.
  • Experience with mediation and alternative dispute resolution preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Run an autonomous caseload of property disputes from inception to ADR or trial.
  • Supervise junior fee-earners providing technical legal support.
  • Handle nuisance, trespass, and boundary disputes.
  • Deal with claims involving easements and interference with rights of way.
  • Ensure customers receive high standards of service.

About the role

These are exciting times at ARAG Law, where we are going through a period of sustained growth across our litigation teams. This is a great time to join a hard‑working and friendly group of around 60 lawyers who together make up the Complex Litigation unit at ARAG Law. We are now seeking a Senior Associate in our Property team, who will be responsible for running an autonomous caseload and also for the supervision of more junior members of the team. You will also work closely with other Senior and Principal Associates ensuring our customers receive the highest standard of services whilst ensuring the efficient management of caseloads.

Qualifications
  • Qualified and / or authorised to conduct litigation (essential).
  • Experience of providing technical legal supervision to more junior fee‑earners is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
  • A clear and demonstrable understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct.
  • Experience of / willingness to use and develop Management Information for the purpose of managing and enhancing performance.
  • Experience with mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
