Senior Acoustic Consultant (Other Grades Considered)

We're expanding our team and are looking for a motivated and experienced acoustic consultant to join us at senior level in either our East Anglia (Harlow, Essex) or South West (Saltash, Cornwall) offices.

This post is for a Senior Consultant, however all other grades are strongly considered (Graduate Acoustic Consultant / Acoustic Consultant).

Typical duties include:

  • Provide expert acoustic consultancy advice on a wide range of environmental and building acoustic projects
  • Attending site visits and processing data
  • Production of comprehensive technical reports
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the business

You’ll be supported by our established team of Consultants and have opportunities to further develop your career in acoustics.

About You
  • Hold a bachelors degree in acoustics or related discipline and/or the IOA Diploma in Acoustics and Noise Control
  • Be an experienced Consultant with a minimum 3 to 5 years environmental and building acoustic consultancy
  • Have strong working knowledge of BS8233, BS4142, ADE, BB93, HTM‑08 and related standards
  • Possess vibration knowledge/proficiency (desirable)
  • Be proficient in using acoustic modelling software such as SoundPLAN, Treble and INSUL
  • Hold Full Corporate Membership to the IOA (or working towards)
  • Have a full, clean UK driving license
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply UK noise policy, regulations and standards
  • Conduct data analysis, report writing and technical reviews
  • Manage projects effectively with direct liaison with clients
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Show flexibility to travel and conduct surveys outside of standard working hours (where required)
