Qualifications

  • HCPC registered Senior Radiographer with significant experience in MRI and X-ray.
  • Demonstrable experience in Contract MRI is essential.
  • It would be desirable to be Philips MRI trained in neuro, body, cardiac and ortho MRI.

Canary Wharf is BUPA's state‑of‑the‑art flagship hybrid healthcare centre offering both primary and secondary care under one roof. Facilities include state of the art consulting rooms and procedural suites, primary care health assessments and a dental unit. The centre’s integrated care pathways ensure seamless referrals between in‑house GPs and specialist consultants across a wide range of disciplines.

You’ll be a HCPC registered Senior Radiographer with significant post‑qualification experience in MRI and Xray. You’ll form part of a team of senior radiographers and be responsible for delivering a high‑quality, safe service, and provide at all times world‑class customer service.

About The Canary Wharf

The centre’s secondary care services include muscle, bone and joint, orthopaedics, pain and spinal, dental and maxillofacial, breast and gynaecology, dermatology, cardiac, musculoskeletal, spinal, and urology, ENT, and will be able to perform simple procedures onsite.

The diagnostic centre houses the latest state‑of‑the‑art technology;

  • 3T Siemens scanner
  • Somatom Force CT scanner
  • X‑ray
  • Ultrasound
  • A serene women’s health unit providing one‑stop breast care services
  • Gynae unit

The centre provides rapid‑access to numerous specialities, and is operational Monday to Friday 8:00am to 20:00pm, and Saturday 8:00am to 14:00pm.

How you’ll help us make health happen
  • Responsible for the daily management of the MRI and Xray Service in liaison with the Superintendent Radiographer and organising the daily work schedule to ensure that the department runs efficiently.
  • Deputise for the Superintendent Radiographers as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain staff rotas to ensure appropriate staff coverage on the respective scanner.
  • Supervise the professional standards and operational management of the rotating staff and their training in the respective scanner, ensuring a consistent level of service is maintained.
  • Perform high‑quality examinations as required by referring physicians, in line with departmental policies and procedures, whilst ensuring that all patients being investigated receive a high standard of care.
  • Accurately analyse the acquired data, record results and produce high‑quality images for reporting.
  • Assist in the care of all equipment within the department ensuring that cleanliness is maintained and that all equipment faults are reported immediately.
  • Ensure the efficient use of all resources, establish stock control systems and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers.
What you’ll bring
  • BSc or DCR in Radiography with HCPC registration (essential)
  • Substantial MRI and Xray experience (essential)
  • It would be desirable to be Philips MRI trained in neuro, body, cardiac and ortho MRI.
  • Demonstrable experience in Contract MRI (essential)
  • Use of RIS & PACS (essential)
  • Ability to work under pressure and direct and achieve results.
