Working hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 15:25 (30‑minute unpaid lunch break) – 37 weeks of the year, term time only.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide SEND learning support to pupils on a one‑to‑one basis, particularly those with autism.
  • Apply a practical, hands‑on approach to support teaching and learning.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents to support pupils’ progress.
  • Take part in class planning and adapt it to meet individual pupils’ needs where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate record‑keeping, including Progress and medical information where required.
  • Support the delivery of education to the highest standard and contribute to a positive learning environment.
  • Demonstrate de‑escalation skills, resilience and a fair, consistent attitude.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience or interest in supporting children with special educational needs, such as autism.
  • Understanding of the subjects you support pupils in.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to keep accurate records.
  • Basic English and Mathematics proficiency (GCSE 4‑9 or equivalent).
  • Personal care experience and capacity to maintain professional relationships with pupils and their families.
  • A genuine passion for the impact that teaching and learning can have on improving life.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, promoting welfare and adhering to the trust’s safeguarding policy.
