We are looking for an inspirational SENCO at our Tipton Green SEN school based in Tipton, West Midlands.


Dudley Port School is an independent specialist day school providing high‑quality education for boys and girls. Based in Tipton, the school meets the diverse needs of pupils aged 11‑16 with a range of complex needs including Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).

Qualifications


  • Must hold a SENCO qualification or be close to completing

  • Must have QTS status

  • Make a valuable contribution to the offering that young people receive at the school as part of the provision of high‑quality teaching and learning.

  • Have some experience of working effectively with local authorities.

  • Have a passion for ensuring all young people succeed.

  • Be able to work effectively within a supportive, committed, and successful staff team.

  • Have high aspirations for themselves and others, and a commitment to further development.

  • Have a robust understanding of SEND code of practice

  • An understanding of SEMH education and how to support the additional needs associated with SEMH pupils.
