  • Providing engaging activities, homework support, and structured routines.
  • Full days during school holidays (organising outings, activities, and play).
  • Supporting the children’s emotional and behavioural needs, particularly around autism and transitions.
  • Occasional evenings (bedtime routines) and long days by agreement.
  • Flexibility to accompany the family on one or two UK weekend breaks.
Household Support (Optional)
  • Housekeeping related to the children: laundry, beds, tidying rooms, organising clothes/belongings, light meal preparation.
  • General household upkeep when children are at school.
  • Optional cleaning hours available if desired.

  • Tues‑Thu: 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm housekeeping; 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm childcare.
  • Occasional long days (6:00 am – 7:00 pm, up to 10 per year).
  • Ad‑hoc evenings (6:00 pm – 10:00 pm, a few per month).

School Holidays (18 weeks/year):

  • Mon‑Thu: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm.
  • Fri: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm (housekeeping/cleaning), optional.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification.
  • At least 5 years’ experience, ideally with SEN and autism.
  • Confident, calm and resilient when managing behaviour and setting boundaries.
  • Flexible, reliable and able to work independently in the home.
  • Driving licence and car desirable (for school pick‑ups and outings).
Employment Details
  • You will be employed directly by Freedom Care (not the family).
  • Full HR, training and supervision provided.
  • 3‑month probationary period with regular reviews.
  • Ofsted registration will be arranged after starting (costs covered by Freedom Care).
Pay & Benefits
  • £16.50 /hr while Ofsted registration is in progress.
  • £17.50 /hr once Ofsted registered (typically within 12 weeks).
  • Paid monthly by Freedom Care.
  • Training, support, and supervision included.
  • Opportunity to accompany the family on holidays and trips.
