Job summary

A telecommunications company in the UK, is seeking Self Employed FTTH Engineers to handle the installation and maintenance of telecom services on the Openreach network. The role involves working with both residential and business customers, ensuring quality and safety during network build-outs and customer installations. Ideal candidates will have experience with PIA networks and strong communication skills. A commitment to customer care and adherence to safety procedures is essential.

Qualifications

  • NRSWASLG and PIA Accreditations are preferable.
  • Additional accreditations such as A001, S8, SA051C are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Install new telecom services by running overhead lines and subducting protected ducts.
  • Visit customers’ homes or businesses to set up internal cabling.
  • Work with live network infrastructures, ensuring safety and quality.
  • Record work and maintain information accuracy in systems.

Skills

Experience with overhead and underground PIA networks
Strong practical knowledge of telecom networks
Proficiency with power tools
Basic IT skills for mobile job management apps
Excellent communication skills
