Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly skilled, SIA‑licensed Security Supervisor based in Sheffield to oversee the performance and upkeep of the security function on one of our clients’ premises. You will manage the day‑to‑day activities of your team and ensure all colleagues adhere to their duties, maintaining a high level of professionalism and security presence.

Work schedule: 55 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Start/finish times range from 06:30‑17:30 to 08:30‑19:30.

Annual Pay: £38,896.00 per annum; hourly rate: £13.60.

What you will need:
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • A valid SIA Front‑Line Licence – essential.
  • A valid SIA CCTV Licence – desirable or willing to obtain.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel).
  • Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards.
What are you going to do:
  • Supervise daily security team operations, ensuring the team fulfills all daily tasks and adheres to Assignment Instructions and Corps Security policies.
  • Monitor surveillance and alarm systems, respond to any security breaches/incidents efficiently and timely, ensuring escalation processes are adhered to.
  • Lead, manage and motivate direct reports, including goal setting, performance reviews, appraisals, coaching and development training, and monitor attendance/time‑keeping.
  • Submit all necessary reports and performance measurement documentation promptly to the appropriate departments.
  • Monitor all staff and contractor activities on the site, including control of contractors, recording of method statements and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services and relevant stakeholders during emergencies.
  • Inspect security equipment (e.g. CCTV, Access Control, Alarms) regularly and ensure proper functioning and upkeep.
  • Investigate any security incidents, accidents and breaches, preparing comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure effective communication across departments, integrating security measures into all operational factors, including events, facility management and safety for all persons on site.
  • Attain Corps Security KPI’s and assist with investigation of apparent non‑conformance.
  • Stay up to date with security trends, technologies and regulations, providing recommendations for system and procedural improvements.
  • Perform ad‑hoc duties as and when required.
