Job overview

Accountable to the Head of Security. The Security Operations/Deputy Manager will assist in compliance with the strategy and directions issued by the Head of Security. This incorporates the day to day co-ordination of Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s security service and its associated car park service. Delivering and facilitating training courses for other staff, to deliver the trusts clinical hold training/Physical intervention training.

Main duties of the job

Main Roles and responsibilities :

Day to day management of Warrington and Halton 24 hrs security service and associated car parks, ensuring that all necessary records(including DATIX) are maintained. All Security officers are competent to fulfil their role.

Day to day co-ordination of the Trusts CCTV facility, ensuring compliance with Data Protection Act 2018, Human Rights and Investigatory Powers Act, other associated legislation, Police and criminal evidence legislation.

Day to day communication with all external service provisions( Service level agreements) & Maintenance contracts.

Providing advice as the security operations/deputy manager will include working alongside and leading the team, going to the assistance of staff in incidents.

Providing advice as the security operations/deputy manager to managers and staff in all aspects of security management including policy, risk, audit and operational security in line with legislative requirements.

Deputising for Head of Security and taking on specific tasks/projects as appropriate.

Carrying out investigations into security breaches and crimes committed within the Trust and provide factual written report to support the application of Trust policy and procedure including disciplinary, civil and criminal actions that may result in Trust, civil or criminal action being taken.
