Overview

We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Security & Data Installation Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems. While prior experience in data cabling and fibre optics is an advantage, full training will be provided. You’ll be working across commercial and residential sites in North Wales and North West, to install and maintain a range of security and IT network systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain CCTV systems (IP and analogue)
• Install and maintain intruder alarm systems (wired and wireless)
• Install and maintain access control systems
• Install and maintain structured data cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a)
• Rack and cabinet builds, patch panel work
• Fault-finding and diagnostics across all systems
• Complete job records and system handover documentation
• Work independently or as part of a small team
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and site cleanliness
• Communicate clearly with clients and colleagues

Requirements

• Full UK driving license with no more than 3 points
• Able to obtain a DBS check and security clearance (essential)
• Proven experience installing and servicing: security/intruder alarms (e.g., Pyronix, Texecom, Ajax)
• Access control (e.g., Paxton, Videx, Dahua)
• Basic understanding of IP networking and configuring hardware
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical plans
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable (Training Provided Where Needed)

• Fibre optic cabling and termination
• Familiarity with NSI/SSAIB standards
• Use of cable testers and fault-finding tools
• Fire alarm installations
