Location: Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction (CEMC), Nottinghamshire (Full-time & Part-time options available)

What's the Opportunity?

We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to play a key role within our Precast Technical Solutions (PTS) team. This is a unique chance to:

  • Shape the future of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA).

  • Influence the design lifecycle from concept to manufacture and installation.

  • Drive carbon reduction and product innovation aligned to our Net Zero 2050 ambition.

You'll work with some of the most advanced automated concrete production facilities in Europe, creating structural solutions for Building Structures, Facades, and Infrastructure— all underpinned by engineered safety and performance excellence.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and check precast structural designs across product life cycles (manufacture, lifting, installation).

  • Contribute to DfMA conversion strategies from traditional schemes.

  • Optimise designs using parametric tools and innovate towards net zero.

  • Mentor junior engineers and influence product development.

  • Support tenders and pre-construction services with robust technical insight.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Passion for structural design and engineering innovation.

  • Strong RC design experience.

  • Degree-qualified with Chartered status (or working towards it within 24 months).

  • ~5+ years of experience in structural engineering design.

  • Self-starter with problem-solving confidence.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Revit, TEDDS, Scia Engineer.

  • Experience in parametric modelling (Grasshopper, Dynamo).

  • Interest in digital design optimisation and sustainable solutions.
