Job description

AJ Lowther & Son Ltd are manufacturers and installers of steel framed buildings and cladding.

We also undertake a significant volume of refurbishment works, to include over-roofs, re-roofs, and gutter re-lining.

Our client base encompasses a broad range of industries, to include Defence, Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage, Renewable Energy, Utilities, Sports & Leisure and Farming, for both Main contractors and Private Clients.

The work involves taking enquiries, establishing a client’s requirements (which may often require site meetings and surveys), estimating the costs of detailing, materials, fabrication, and installation, through to final account and cost analysis.

A knowledge of steelwork or construction would be advantageous, but a practical, common-sense, approach to construction and problem solving is essential. The role requires the talent to build and retain confidence with customers to ensure continuity of business, and to work with colleagues within the company to ensure the timely delivery of orders.

Training will be given as needed. Salary will be according to experience and potential. The remuneration package includes inclusion in the company’s profit share, private health and pension schemes.

Job Types: Permanent, full-time, primarily office based role.
