Job description

CMS Distribution takes great pride in seeking out innovative technologies and they are now looking for Sales Apprentices to join their ever‑growing team! Offering a healthy starting salary, plus bonus, paid international opportunities to visit their other sites and many more opportunities, we are looking for self‑starting individuals passionate about kick‑starting their career in technical sales. In this role, you’ll work towards attaining various sales competency accreditations – What the Sales Cycle is, Master Data, SMART Objectives, and many more skills required to succeed in an Omni‑Channel environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Learning how distribution works, the dynamics of the Sales force and everything that goes with it from Sales, Product Management, Vendor Relations, Sales Support, Online, Direct Drop sales management.
  • Understand and embrace the principles of the Ansoff Matrix and Whitespace.
  • Develop great working relationships with our experienced teams.
  • Building your knowledge of our different products and vendors.
  • Supporting the creation of high‑level presentations for Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Supporting vendor events, who deliver the latest training and insights into industry and products.
  • Learning about the sales pipeline and forecasting, working towards building your own pipeline of sales.
  • Exposure to key business meetings and calls with vendors, customers, and other internal teams.
  • Learning how to review price lists and keeping information up to date.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Pass the vendor training accreditations to enhance your knowledge of the products and start to articulate some of the features and benefits of the solution on calls with our reseller partners. Help sales with quotes when required to ensure customers are provided with accurate proposals, collateral and any other information they need.
  • Create some quotes when required and send them to our customer, and on occasions.
  • Join the Senior Account Managers & Senior Vendor Managers on some reseller site visits to learn a little about the role of an SVM/SAM on the job.
  • Always act as an ambassador and representative of CMS Distribution to ensure a professional image for the Company. Actively contribute and act as a role model to the CMS values.
