About This Role

MOVE IT is the world’s biggest dance event and a leading force in the global dance community. Reporting into the Event Director, the Sales & Sponsorship Manager will be solely responsible for driving all commercial revenue across the show, including stand space, sponsorship packages, and digital partnerships, with strategic support from the Event Director. Following its first‑ever sell‑out in 2025, attracting over 35,000 attendees including 10,000 performers, MOVE IT continues to offer unparalleled visibility and engagement for brands looking to connect with a passionate, creative, and socially active audience. Hosted at Excel London, the event unites the entire dance ecosystem from aspiring students to world‑renowned professionals and provides a unique platform for sponsors to align with a vibrant cultural celebration that champions movement, creativity, and community.

Reasons you’ll love this role

If you are a passionate and highly skilled Sales and Sponsorship Manager who is target‑driven and commercially minded, this could be the perfect role for you. You will have a proven ability to identify, pitch, and secure new business opportunities, creating compelling sponsorship proposals and presenting impactful sales decks to a wide range of clients from major brands to industry partners.

Strategic thinking, creativity, and attention to detail are key, as you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering tailored packages that drive commercial growth and enhance partner visibility. You’ll take ownership of the entire sales process, from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing, ensuring that every partnership adds value to both the client and the event.

The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organised, confident in managing a busy sales pipeline, and experienced in forecasting, KPI tracking, and reporting on performance. You will thrive under pressure, demonstrate strong negotiation and communication skills, and bring an energetic, proactive approach to achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

As a Sales and Sponsorship Manager you will
  • Independently manage and deliver all sales activity across stand space, sponsorship, and digital assets, meeting and exceeding targets and KPIs.
  • Confidently sell to new and existing clients, demonstrating excellent phone and face‑to‑face communication skills, and producing high‑quality written proposals and presentations. The role may also require occasional travel to meet with key clients and partners.
  • Identify opportunities to not only deliver sales results but grow the business through yield, average order values, volume, earlier sales, upsells, pricing structures and new revenue streams.
  • Communicate and manage all sales KPIs with an outstanding knowledge of the pipeline and its impact, forecast sales accurately for short‑ and long‑term periods, and communicate this at all levels with absolute clarity.
  • Sourcing, selling, managing, and maintaining sponsorship customers, matching client needs to products or creating new profitable opportunities.
  • Report with attention to detail, good narrative and present in an informative way, ensuring forecasts are tracked and monitored in line with the budget. Any concerns for potential revenue issues must be raised in a timely fashion with proposed solutions.
  • Create a sales strategy plan in line with the sales strategy, working in collaboration with the marketing team on impactful email campaigns, sales materials and copy. Insight from the marketing team will support decisions on what marketing activity is working, when PR campaigns should run and what content will help support the sales.
  • Commercially manage the show floorplans, ensuring the plan offers the best commercial opportunities, and deliver and exceed the budgets (P&L sits with Portfolio Director and Event Director), maximising where there is opportunity. Identify areas of the show that are no longer commercially beneficial and find solutions to improve for both visitor and exhibitor alike.
  • Support the delivery of all exhibitors associated assets required by partners and service providers. These include, but are not exhaustive to, event guides, web listing and onsite floorplans.
  • Establish an excellent understanding of the business CRM system, ensuring you use it for all customer contact, and it is used for all financial reporting outside of accounts reports.
  • Have a good understanding of GDPR obligations and how all salespeople must communicate with clients/prospects, storing and managing their data.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable success in sales roles with a goal and target‑driven approach.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Clear communicator and strong interpersonal skills, with excellent listening skills.
  • Outstanding negotiation and objection handling skills.
  • Decisive and self‑led.
  • Presents as professional and trustworthy.
  • Desire to network with others to build a better business.
  • Experience in consumer events or exhibitions.
  • Demonstrable market and industry knowledge.
Benefits
  • A relaxed working environment with regular socials including a summer festival.
  • Immediate Community webinars, well‑being initiatives and Mental Health First Aiders.
  • 25 days holiday plus a day for your birthday. Our offices will be closed between Christmas and New Years which are in addition to your annual entitlement.
  • Tailored training and development through our Love Learning platform.
  • A progressive and transparent culture with clear career progression.
  • Flexible / hybrid working plus early finish Fridays.
  • Cycle to work scheme.
  • Enhanced Family Policies including paternity, adoption and surrogacy leave. We also provide a pregnancy loss, fertility and carers policy.
