The Glenfield Surgery, Leicester
Vacancy – Salaried GP for 6 Sessions

Glenfield Surgery is a friendly, forward-thinking training practice serving around 14,500 patients in a semi-rural setting. We are seeking a dedicated Salaried GP (6 sessions per week) to join our supportive multidisciplinary team to start as soon as possible.

You will deliver high-quality care across general practice, including acute presentations, chronic disease management, health promotion, and preventative care. Clinical work is supported by a skilled team of GPs, Physician Associates, Pharmacists, Nurses, HCAs and a Social Prescriber, with an excellent administrative team. We use SystmOne, AccuRx total triage, and Surgery Connect telephony to support efficient workflows.

As a training practice, we actively support professional development, teaching opportunities, portfolio working, and leadership interests, within a collaborative culture that values work–life balance.

We actively use A.I. to reduce our clinical burden.

Key Responsibilities
  • Face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations
  • Triage and management of acute and long-term conditions
  • QOF and enhanced service delivery
  • Clinical meetings, audit, and quality improvement
  • Teaching and supervision (where appropriate)
  • Service development and innovation
  • GMC-registered GP on the NHS Performers List
  • Experience in general practice / primary care
  • Strong clinical, communication, and IT skills (SystmOne desirable)
  • Teaching or supervisory experience
  • Involvement in quality improvement or governance activities
