A healthcare services provider in Bradford seeks a Health & Safety professional to manage its occupational road risk strategy. The role involves ensuring compliance with road risk policies, investigating safety events, and leading initiatives to improve safety across a fleet of response vehicles. Candidates must possess strong risk management skills, experience in project delivery, and excellent communication abilities. A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Health & Safety team, leading on occupational road risk. The Service has a fleet of around 400 vehicles, the majority of which are response vehicles, and with this comes a risk that must be well managed. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of all aspects of our occupational road risk strategy.
Reporting to the Head of Occupational Health, Safety & Wellbeing, you will be responsible for ensuring: all road risk related policies, procedures and training are legally compliant, adequate, effectively implemented and audited for compliance; vehicle related safety events are investigated and appropriate action taken to maximise learning and improve safety.
You will have a good understanding of risk management principles and experience in delivering projects in a complex organisation, analysing data, and producing reports, along with undertaking accident investigations. You will also have great communication skills and the ability to communicate & persuade at all levels across the organisation. Note: this role is focused on internal occupational roads risk and not external, community focused road risk.
