Job Overview

You’ll be at the heart of Screwfix, ensuring our customers experience genuinely great service. As a Retail Assistant you will help keep the store running smoothly, support customers, manage stock, and contribute to a positive team culture. You will receive excellent training and will enjoy varied shift patterns to support a healthy work‑life balance.

Opening Hours

Monday – Friday 7am‑8pm
Saturday 7am‑6pm
Sunday 9am‑4pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Host customers, understand their needs, guide them to the right products and make shopping effortless.
  • Maintain warehouse standards by assisting with deliveries, keeping stock levels and ensuring product quality.
  • Work collaboratively with the team, taking pride in store performance and contributing to a fun working environment.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Excellent customer service with a positive can‑do attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and engage with training programmes.
  • Strong communication skills and a love of helping people.
  • No prior retail experience necessary – you’ll learn on the job.
  • Friendly, reliable, honest and enthusiastic.
