Job summary

A leading NHS trust in Nottingham is seeking a Respiratory and Sleep Physiologist. This exciting role requires a BSc in Healthcare Science and a minimum of three years' experience in a respiratory/sleep department. Candidates should be skilled in performing complex physiology investigations, training junior staff, and conducting sleep study reports. Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience at AFC Band 4/5 level in a respiratory/sleep department.
  • Currently performing the range of respiratory and sleep investigations listed.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct basic and complex respiratory physiology investigations.
  • Report on sleep studies and present cases for the weekly MDT.
  • Initiate CPAP and conduct follow-ups and yearly reviews.
  • Administer clinical supervision and training for junior staff.

Skills

Knowledge of Quality and Infection Control Procedures pertaining to Respiratory / Sleep Physiology
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to use own initiative in unexpected situations
Willing and able to work as a team as well as independently
Physically able to move patients in wheelchairs and beds
Adaptable and flexible to start/finish times

Education

BSc Healthcare Science Degree (respiratory and sleep option)
