Qualifications

Location: Barnsley
Salary: £46,000 per annum (potential to earn up to £51,400 via Ofsted & Occupancy bonuses)
Working Hours: 39 hours per week, Full-time, Permanent

Number of Beds: 2
Type of YPs: Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Trauma, Neglect

This is a small, nurturing home designed to offer stability, safety, and emotional development for young people with EBD and trauma‑related needs. The focus is on fostering meaningful relationships to support young people as they transition into adulthood.

💫 Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Children’s Home Registered Manager to lead the Barnsley home. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on making a real difference in young people’s lives, can lead and inspire a team, and ensure high‑quality care delivery in line with legislation and Ofsted standards.

Essential Requirements
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or Level 3 Residential Childcare
  • Previous experience managing or supervising staff within an Ofsted‑registered children’s home
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted frameworks (SCIFF)
  • Proven leadership, team management, and people development skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

  • Oversee admissions, discharges, care planning, and quality assurance
  • Chair and participate in meetings with professionals, commissioners, and Ofsted
  • Manage budgets, resources, and on‑call responsibilities where required
