Location: Elswick, Newcastle-upon-Tyne

Salary: Competitive + Attractive Bonus

Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and compassionate Registered Home Manager to lead our brand-new nursing and residential home in Elswick. This is an exceptional opportunity for a confident and visionary Registered Nurse to shape a new service, build a strong team, and deliver outstanding care from the very beginning.

As Home Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of clinical and personal care are consistently delivered, while driving excellence across all operational areas. You will create a culture rooted in dignity, independence, respect, and person‑centred support. Alongside maintaining regulatory compliance, you will also play a key role in achieving business objectives, ensuring sustainability, and promoting the long‑term success of the home.

You will work closely with a highly skilled support network, including Directors, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, PBS Practitioners, Therapy Assistants, and the Quality Assurance Team, ensuring a truly multidisciplinary approach to care.

This is a senior and influential role that requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a clear passion for improving the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inspirational leadership and oversee the day‑to‑day running of the home
  • Ensure exceptional standards of nursing, residential, and holistic care at all times
  • Lead, mentor, and support staff, ensuring they have the skills, confidence, and resources to deliver safe and effective careUphold all regulatory requirements and maintain compliance with CQC standards
  • Manage budgets, resources, and contracts to ensure efficient and sustainable operations
  • Make strategic decisions that support long‑term growth, service development, and market competitiveness
  • Lead on specific clinical areas or development projects, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, commissioners, and external professionals
  • Provide out‑of‑hours on‑call support (shared responsibility)
  • Offer clinical support and step in as a Registered Nurse when required
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture for staff and residents
What You Need
  • Registered Nurse qualification (RGN/RMN/RNLD) – essential
  • Proven experience managing a care home or similar complex care service
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and develop teams
  • Excellent English, numeracy, and digital literacy
  • Strong organisational, planning, and project management skills
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to make sound long‑term decisions
  • A friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
