Job summary

A leading global furniture retailer is seeking a Real Estate Development / Assets Manager to oversee strategic development and optimization of its UK & Ireland property portfolio. The role involves securing new sites, managing complex portfolios, and leading negotiations with local authorities. Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of experience in property or asset management, a background in relevant disciplines, and a strategic mindset. This hybrid position offers a starting salary of £60,000 per annum., with 12 days of workplace presence required per year.

We’re searching for an experienced real estate professional to lead the strategic development, optimisation, and long‑term performance of our UK & Ireland property portfolio. If you bring proven expertise in property management, asset management, or real estate development, this is a chance to influence major projects in one of the most dynamic retail and urban markets in the world.

What you need to have
  • 6+ years in property management, asset management, or real estate development
  • Strong exposure to planning processes and working with local authorities
  • A background in urban planning, real estate, architecture, law, or business
  • Experience managing complex, multi‑site portfolios
  • A strategic mindset with the confidence to lead commercial negotiations and drive delivery

If you’ve worked within mixed‑use, retail, logistics, commercial, or large portfolio environments in London, your experience will be highly relevant.

What you will do day to day
Acquisition & Development
  • Identifying and securing new sites across the UK & Ireland
  • Leading feasibility studies, due diligence, and commercial negotiations
  • Managing planning, permitting, and engagement with public authorities
Asset Management
  • Enhancing the performance, value, and utilisation of existing assets
  • Overseeing property obligations, taxes, risks, and compliance
  • Managing landlord/tenant relationships and shared property agreements
Project Leadership
  • Coordinating infrastructure, utilities, and development approvals
  • Partnering with internal teams to ensure seamless project handovers
  • Championing sustainable, innovative solutions throughout development

Full‑Time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Location: Service Office (Wembley) Principles – Hybrid working, 12 days’ workplace presence, of which 8 must be in the Service Office, with the remaining 4 in individuals' nearest unit.
