Band 3 Radiology Assistant – Part Time (up to 30 hours)

Support the work of Radiologists, Radiographers and Sonographers, providing services 24/7 throughout the year. Applicants must be flexible, demonstrate excellent organisational and prioritising skills, use initiative and be confident to discuss new ways of working to improve efficiency.

Work flexible hours according to service needs (shift rota); nights, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and rotate to community sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist Radiographers, Sonographers and Consultant Radiologists with patient, equipment and environment care.
• Patient transfer, reception, telephone and medical records handling, use of computers and data input duties.
• Liaise with NHS professionals, support staff and the general public to ensure an efficient service.
• Perform supporting role under direct supervision of qualified staff in clinical and office areas.
