About the Role

Chase Lodge Hospital is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Radiologist to join our expanding Diagnostic Imaging Department. The successful candidate will be recognised by the major private medical insurance companies and comfortable working in a modern, patient‑centred private healthcare environment.

We welcome applications from Radiologists looking for part‑time, full‑time, or flexible bank/locum arrangements, with opportunities to expand your clinical portfolio within a friendly and supportive team.

This role is ideal for a Radiologist who is proficient in performing ultrasound scans and wishes to further develop or utilise their skills in MRI and X‑ray reporting, depending on expertise and interest.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform and interpret high‑quality ultrasound examinations across a range of clinical presentations (e.g., MSK, abdominal, small parts, gynaecology, vascular depending on skillset).
  • Provide accurate and timely MRI and X‑ray reporting (if these modalities fall within your professional scope).
  • Deliver safe, evidence‑based diagnostic services aligned with clinical guidelines and best practice.
  • Communicate findings clearly and effectively to referring clinicians, patients, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and ensure accurate reporting workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with Consultants, GPs, Nurses, Sonographers, and administrative staff to deliver an efficient, patient‑focused imaging service.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, professional, supportive environment within the hospital.
  • Uphold all regulatory, professional, and governance obligations, including participation in audits and CPD.
What You’ll Bring
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • Allied registration in Clinical Radiology
  • Recognised provider status with the major UK private medical insurers (or eligible)
  • Strong proficiency in ultrasound scanning (required)
  • Additional capabilities in MRI or X‑ray reporting highly desirable
  • Experience working in private healthcare beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent diagnostic reasoning, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative working approach
  • Commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care
  • Reliability, professionalism, and flexibility with working patterns (including daytime, evening, and weekend opportunities)
