Job summary

A leading construction firm in the UK is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage cost reporting and subcontractor payments as part of the Energy team. This role requires proven experience in a commercial setting and knowledge of standard contracts. Qualifications

  • Experience as Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role.
  • Working towards RICS / ICES chartership.
  • Familiarity with NEC and Standard Methods of Measurement.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in internal commercial reporting.
  • Prepare Valuations/Applications for Payment with documentation.
  • Control Cost Reports with compliant documentation.
  • Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
  • Administer subcontractor accounts and payments.
  • Undertake contract administration and change management.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Use appropriate cost allocation for internal and external needs.
  • Measure quantities according to standard methods.
  • Assist in preparing project final accounts.

Skills

Proven experience within a Commercial role
Registered with RICS / ICES
Knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract
